Nutritional Foods And Aging

People try to tie nutritional foods and aging together and
instinctively think back to a time when they were young and
healthy. All the foods that parents prepared were assumed to be
healthy but nobody ever tied the nutritional foods to aging.
Food tasted good all the time but nobody ever explained that it
was made up of components that gave it the power to turn the
hands of time back for a while, if enough of the healthy foods
were eaten.

Parents did focus on how food could make a child grow up to be
strong and healthy. The four major food groups were always
served at meals, but parents never went into great detail over
which foods would keep you young. A child was never made aware
that antioxidants were in the foods they ate every day and what
part these food components would play throughout life to keeping
the body looking and feeling young. Children only knew that they
had more energy to expend after eating well.

A well-balanced diet is supposed to provide people with energy
and nutritional benefits that the body needs to function
properly. People never discussed what harmful properties were
inside the body that caused tissue to age before they were
supposed to. The sudden focus on free radicals made people take
another look at the food they put in their mouth. They found
that those food rich in antioxidants were nutritional foods and
aging seemed to slow when these food properties did their job
and removed free radicals from the body.

People found other ways to get nutritional benefits into the
body rather than consuming them through traditional foods. Food
supplements such as vitamins and minerals in pill or liquid
forms were found to be very beneficial in eradicating free
radical agents from body tissues and these supplemental agents
did not cause people to gain weight. A day-to-day regimen of
these nutritional agents seemed to cleanse the body of free
radicals, and nutritional foods and aging concepts seemed to
evolve over time.

Marketers continually developed nutritional foods and aging
took center stage in food laboratories around the world.
Scientists were busy developing food sources that were free of
trans fats, saturated fats, sugar and salt, which were items in
foods that caused aging to progress at a higher rate. To ensure
that the cellular structure in the body remained boosted with
antioxidants, these free radical fighting agents were placed in
nutritional supplements and multivitamin forms so that high
levels were on hand for the body to use at all times.

Antioxidants were included in cosmetics too because nutritional
foods and aging were tied to the topical applications that were
placed on the skin surface. Creams that are high in antioxidants
will give skin the ability to fight off aging because free
radicals were found to be on the skin surface too. When these
free radicals were removed from the skin through herbal masks,
the skin was healthier and more vibrant.

People began to use cosmetics more to fight aging because
sunscreens were added. Scientists were determined to develop
better tanning products to block harmful rays that were
determined by scientists to damage skin and cause it to age
before its time. Nutritional foods and aging agents are under
continual scrutiny and any item that is consumed is checked for
nutritional value. Those values are posted on foods and
consumers check them often.
